Can't get Samba account provider work
I think you did it!!! It works!
I did a clean install. All updates and
I gave a long name (verylongnamens7test2.ns7.lan)
Installed directly from nethserver-testing the packages.
Started dc with green bridge.
And voila:
and
No errors in messages.log relating to sssd or nsdc.
Congratulations @davidep .
PS: I had to do yum install ...otherwise nethserver-dc wouldn't be installed on a clean machine.
Can't get Samba account provider work
Thank you @flatspin, could you remove the "testing" label and add the "verified" label to the GitHub issue?
Disable SIP ALG
We have a VPS running FreePBX on a Cloud Provider, and we are running eyeBeam Softphones behind our NethServer, out to that VPS.
For some reason random, but consistent calls are getting
X-Asterisk-HangupCause: Requested channel not available
X-Asterisk-HangupCauseCode: 44
Web filter profiles "who"
Hi,
I'm trying NethServer as a web filtering proxy and it seems to work.
I created some profiles and now I want to restrict some of them only to some clients.
In the documentation I see that profiles can be setted in the "who" configuration to a local users, group, a host, group of hosts, zone, CIDR subnet, IP range or an AD user.
But... In the "who" dropdown menu into the profile configuration I only see the green zone, and nothing else.
Where I'm wrong?
Thank you very much for your help!
Bye
Nethserver-fail2ban needs testers
Done, the work is a bit more than just rebuild it on NS7.
The main issue I have is that the event nethserver-fail2ban-update is not called by the yum event at the end of the installation....there are no errors in the log message
does something has changed @dev_team ?

The firewall module is what I needed, thank you very much!
Firewall tests on ns7b2
I just want to point out to all @quality_team (and of course anyone interested) some great gateway/firewall enhancements to test...
verified (but need to be installed if interested in creating rules with nDPI):
to test:
I hope to find some time on the weekend to test them, for now, installation went fine.
kudos to @dev_team great work!

Yes, the new RPM version changed the directory ownership management. Have a look at
http://wiki.nethserver.org/doku.php?id=developer:nethserver_7_kickstart#common_issues
Firewall tests on ns7b2
So, for testing, only the following packages must be installed?
In nethserver-testing ( http://packages.nethesis.it/nethserver/7.2.1511/testing/x86_64/Packages/?C=M;O=D ):
nethserver-firewall-base-3.0.4-1.41.g662aa08.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-firewall-base-ui-3.0.4-1.41.g662aa08.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-base-3.0.7-1.6.ga7174b0.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-httpd-admin-2.0.2-1.1.ga8abb48.ns7.noarch.rpm
Firewall tests on ns7b2
yes if you are not interested in testing them the with nDPI (that is a really nice feature ), otherwise install also
nethserver-ndpi-0.0.1-1.7.ge4785fd.ns7.noarch.rpm
kmod-xt_ndpi-0.0-1.ns7.x86_64
kernel-lt-4.4.19-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64
Firewall tests on ns7b2
Thank you @dz00te !
To recap (for me ):
For testing all 3 from above (your initial post):
- nDPI support: deep packet inspection
- Firewall: time rules
- Enchance traffic shaping
Must be installed:
nethserver-firewall-base-3.0.4-1.41.g662aa08.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-firewall-base-ui-3.0.4-1.41.g662aa08.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-base-3.0.7-1.6.ga7174b0.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-httpd-admin-2.0.2-1.1.ga8abb48.ns7.noarch.rpm
nethserver-ndpi-0.0.1-1.7.ge4785fd.ns7.noarch.rpm
kmod-xt_ndpi-0.0-1.ns7.x86_64.rpm
kernel-lt-4.4.19-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64.rpm

LDAP Bind DN Connection
I don't understand why I cannot browse the directory.
If I use phpLdapAdmin or I run Apache Directory Studio on locally is ok...
If from my PC launch Apache Directory Studio I cannot browse.
For this, I must to connect a web application to use LDAP and the connection not works.

libuser can access from local host only. Please try with admin or any other user account!
LDAP Bind DN Connection
This is exactly your problem.
I've encountered this "behavior" some time ago, and I changed to the way I wanted it (read only for everybody).
I'm too lazy to investigate the consequences of this modification, but for my use cases this is "secure enough".
click here to see the modifications I made.
@alefattorini: no, I'm not an expert in any way. Expecially with LDAP. I've just configured it with my mighty hammer.
